Finance Director Designate

A prestigious SME manufacturer with a reputation for innovation in its field is looking for a Finance Director designate due to the consistent growth of the business.

This exceptional opportunity offers the chance for an ambitious qualified accountant to shape the strategic decision making and financial reporting of the company through continued growth. This role would be suited to an ambitious accountant from an SME background, eager to put their stamp on a business as it grows.

The Finance Director Designate will be responsible for:

• Full responsibility for financial and management reporting, overseeing a small team of accounts staff
• Budgeting and forecasting, advising senior budget holders
• Systems development and establishing effective working procedures
• Year-End preparation and liaising with auditors
• Assisting and advising the Managing Director on strategy and commercial decision making.
• Managing a small team of finance staff

Ideally you will have/be:

• ACCA/CIMA Fully Qualified
• Senior level experience supervising a small team of staff within an SME manufacturing environment
• Strong experience of both management and statutory reporting
• Comfortable reporting in to board level and outlining strategies for the finance department to continue growth
• Able to demonstrate commercial acumen in negotiating with suppliers and developing revenue streams with new and existing customers
• Work with a wide range of stake holders from different sectors to ensure cohesive processes
• Take on Ad-hoc projects where required
