Finance Business Partner/Commercial Manager

Our client, a global business services organisation is looking for a Finance Business Partner/ Commercial Manager in a brand new role to work on scoping and implementing a Finance shared service/outsourcing project. The role is working in London although will involve around 50% UK travel.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner/Commercial Manager

• Manage the Operating Model team and review the BPO solution
• Develop Op Model design principles
• Define the high level overall future operating model incorporating people, process and technology
• Design the retained organisation and understand key considerations between the retained and outsourced organisations (e.g. handoffs through impact assessments)
• Understand and define the current technology landscape with the technology workstream
• Manage and support the delivery of the organisation design, including roles and responsibilities, job descriptions, organisation charts and organisation sizing
• Be the spokesperson to cascade operating model vision to the wider stakeholders and BPO
• Participate in workshops with the BPO provider to review and challenge the BPO Model
• Conduct contract assessments

Key skills, competencies and knowledge of the Finance Business Partner/Commercial Manager

• Good understanding of large scale service industry
• Understanding & experience working on an outsourcing project
• Ability to build good relationships with wider stakeholders in areas of expertise
• Skills in process / organisations and/or technology
• Communication and problem-solving skills
• Project management experience (or aptitude)

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant or have an extensive finance background. You will have project management experience working on a similar outsourcing project and be flexible to travel to different UK sites.
