Amplified Digital and Madison.com, divisions of Capital Newspapers, are seeking an experienced Digital Advertising Sales Director. The successful candidate will build key relationships with the business community, and drive digital advertising sales results using Madison's market-leading and most comprehensive and innovative digital advertising platform.
As the highest ranking local market executive of Amplified Digital and Madison.com, the Digital Advertising Director will be an enthusiastic leader with a demonstrated ability to inspire media sales professionals, develop new innovative advertising solutions, and drive the revenue performance of the fastest growing channel in the marketing mix.
Responsibilities
* Direct activity and performance of a highly effective Digital sales team, with responsibility for the Digital advertising revenue of Amplified Digital, and madison.com across the entire advertising department
* Partner and collaborate directly with the editorial team, advertising directors/managers, & marketing personnel
* Attend weekly executive meetings & disseminate information across all sales teams
* Development of new Digital solutions, and vendor relationships in the fast paced and changing Digital marketplace
* Leading strategist in driving Digital revenue performance
* Budgeting, tracking, and forecasting of all company Digital revenue
* Direct involvement in executive level multimedia marketing presentations
* Digital pipeline management and prioritization of key Digital initiatives
* Inspire, direct, and inspect all Digital sales reps to drive optimal performance
* Develop pipeline of key business categories and clients in need of our high performance Digital product portfolio
Qualifications
* Degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent related experience in media/new media
* Requires 5-7 years of experience in Advertising Sales or related field
* Requires 5 years of sales management experience
* Demonstration, familiarity, and proficiency with modern digital media marketing products
* Passion for impacting and growing revenue with a record of achieving goals and driving results
* Experience in leading and guiding sales teams in a rapidly changing work environment with a commitment to the company, team, and individual success
* Ability to establish and nurture cohesive partnerships with vendors, marketing, editorial, IT, and external advertising customers
* Requires strong communication, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and thrive in an innovative, fast-paced organization
