Senior Commercial Finance Analyst

Our client, a market leading Retail/Consumer organisation is looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to support the Trading Finance team.

You will be working closely with a variety of stakeholders helping to support and shape the direction of the business. This role is within a team that is fast paced and dedicated to providing the best financial support to enable the best decisions to be made, for their customers and also for their business.

* Your role has a strong stakeholder management element and you will support your category manager as well as buyers, becoming involved in category & supplier planning as well as a variety of analysis to support decision making
* You will provide financial appraisals that will help your categories achieve and exceed targets
* Analysis around the success of promotional strategies; Brands; Trading; product profitability
* As the face of Finance to your buyers, you will need to assist in the budgeting process for your area, but also provide training and tools to the Trading team to raise commercial awareness and improve decision-making, landing key messages aligned with the wider business agenda

You will need to be a qualified accountant CIMA/ACA/ACCA and be commercially astute. Strong Excel and numerical skills, with an aptitude for turning data into analysis and insight. Also great communication skills able to influence audiences of varying financial and commercial backgrounds.
