Job Purpose
To be a trusted advisor providing financial insights and advice to Business leaders on actions and decisions to ensure business goals are met.
Job Role
* Preparation and presentation of regular budgets and forecasts to reflect business strategy and plans
* Reporting of financial performance
* Analysis and interpretation of business performance in order to assist Business Leaders take informed decisions to improve financial performance
* Being proactive in finding solutions to drive actions which address identified issues
* Communication with and training of Business Units to ensure understanding of business processes and requirements
* Ensuring compliance with income recognition and realisation policies and processes
* Investment appraisal and integration planning/implementation of external growth and investment projects
* Liaison with other Business Service teams to ensure development and integration of all processes and knowledge sharing
Person Specification
* You will hold a recognised accounting qualification (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA)
* Ability to gain a deep understanding of the business and demonstrate commercial awareness
* Strong analytical skills with flexibility to manage details as well as think creatively and conceptually
* Experience of interpreting business performance, trends and anomalies
* Proven track record of presentation of communicating performance measures and analysis with clarity and confidence
* Influencing skills
* Previous experience of analytical accounting, dashboards and ability to understand the professional services business model preferred
* Strong communication and inter personal skills, building good relations across the organisation
* Good time management skills
* Able to be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements of the role & the business during the year.
* A positive "can-do" and pro-active attitude
