Childcare solicitor

This is an exciting opportunity for a childcare solicitor to join a busy childcare team within local authority.


Responsibilities Include:
*Providing legal advice relating to children's services to a high quality
*Managing complex projects and assessing known risks, and being able to adapt to situations.
*Taking control of and dealing with a substantial legal caseload
*Attending and advising at committee meetings


Essential requirements:
*Minimum 3 years' experience as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
*Minimum of 2 years' experience specialising and handling all aspects of child care matters, preferably from a local authority prospective or within private
*Previously handled a caseload of childcare matters with minimal supervision


The successful candidate will ideally have experience working for a Local Authority, although the council are willing to consider candidates with private practice childcare experience who want to work in the public sector.
