EU/Competition Law Associate, Dublin

Top tier Irish practice with an exceptional reputation for their EU/Competition practice group is looking to hire an additional lawyer at NQ+ PQE level to be based in their offices in Dublin.

The role will involve working with a diverse range of clients in the telecoms sector which include telco companies, ISPs and broadcasters. The role will include advising on:

• Telecommunications related business transactions including technology and business process outsourcing by telecommunications operators;

• Competition and regulatory issues under the EU Regulatory Framework including spectrum licensing, rights of access, interconnection, infrastructure sharing, number portability, consultations with the telecommunications regulator in Ireland, the Commission for Communications Regulation and European Commission regulatory disputes;

• M&A in the telecommunications sector including merger control filings at Irish and EU level as well as multi jurisdictional filings and interactions with other regulatory bodies;

• Network infrastructure establishment and maintenance - including site acquisition and planning, design and build, network management, IRU and related outsourced service arrangements;

• Acquisition, promotion and exploitation of intellectual property rights in the communications sector, protecting clients against third party claims and against third party infringements of Intellectual Property rights, using courts, tribunals and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
