Frazer John Recruitment, Finance Division is representing a growing financial services business in Manchester City Centre that are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner.


The role will be a key member of the finance team working with all levels of the business, building strong working relationships and promoting a consistent and transparent performance reporting culture within all companies of the group.   
 
As a newly created role, you must be able to demonstrate how they would approach developing the right reporting tools, that will provide the insight which is needed across each of our businesses in Europe, and at a group level. This role is suited to an experienced qualified accountant who has strong commercial experience. You must be able to demonstrate strong experience of business partnering to people at an Excom level.

The business we are representing is fast growing, acquisitive and listed, and hence the need for best in class financial insight is high to support business decisions and allow performance to be understood. You will need to demonstrate a strong track record of preparing, developing and analysing key financial information. 

This role is an ideal role for someone who wants to develop their career further by building best in class reporting tools which will ensure management make well informed decisions, which support both the growth agenda and ongoing profitability of the group. Given the nature of accounting for revenue in an FS business, some experience of technical accounting (IAS 39 accounting models) is also preferable. 
 
The role encompasses the following  areas: 
 
  • Business partnering to Excom - the candidate will be responsible for providing effective finance business partnering to key members of Excom on the performance of the countries, in particular on revenue and direct collection costs. The reporting will need to include insight on what is driving performance, what actions can be taken to remediate any performance gaps and what actions can be taken to further improve performance. 
  • Business partnering will also be key in the preparation of the budgets and forecasts for the countries and for the group, to ensure the group strategy is being achieved.
  • Monthly reporting - provision of monthly reporting and analysis to Excom and the country boards on the performance on countries and the group. Reporting dashboards will need to be developed to ensure the key KPIs are reported on consistently, accurately and timely. The reporting will include analysis of actual vs budget, progress of key actions against the plan, and identification of the risks/opportunities to the plan. 
  • Budgeting and forecasting - responsibility for running the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasting process for the group. The consolidation of the group budgets will sit under this role (supported by the financial modeller), and reporting to Excom and the Board on the budget will be required. This will include analysis of the key drivers to the budget. 
  • Provision of ad hoc analysis - the candidate will be responsible for dealing with the provision of ad hoc analysis required by the CFO and by Excom
To be successful in this position you will need to be:-
  • Educated to degree level
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified 
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of financial analytics
  • Strong communicator - verbal and written
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Confident to work in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Background in banking/other FS 
  • Experience of working for a listed company
  • Cognos/reporting tools experience (Tableau etc) 
The salary on offer for this role is up to £80,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package.
