CEO - Chief Executive Officer The Orthopaedic Group - Mobile, Alabama Somerset is assisting The Orthopaedic Group in their search for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The physicians and staff at The Orthopaedic Group ("TOG") are committed to providing the highest quality musculoskeletal care available to the gulf coast of Alabama and their ultimate mission is to provide the highest level of specialized care and put patients first.
TOG has 29 board certified/board eligible physicians, covering every area of orthopedic expertise.
Many of our orthopedic surgeons are fellowship trained in their respective subspecialties, which include: hand, wrist and elbow, neck and spine, hip, shoulder, total joint replacement, sports medicine, foot and ankle.
In addition, TOG has 11 physician extender providers (certified physician assistants and nurse practitioners).
TOG has three full time locations in Mobile, Fairhope and Foley, with 8 satellite offices in the surrounding area.

Their services include MRI,
X-ray, physical and occupational hand therapy, surgery center, and a robust sports care program.

CEO direct responsibilities include: Assisting the physician owners with governance and strategic vision of the practice enterprise, including development of a master strategic plan for the organization. Overseeing and managing physician growth including heavy emphasis on the development and execution of strategic initiatives, managing and directing growth opportunities with existing services and new markets or service lines.
Evaluating and managing the administrative team, working on a daily basis with operations team, directing payer and employer group contracting, ensuring sound financial performance and guiding the practice through the ever-changing health care environment. Directs and oversees the financial performance of the practice, including billing and collections, financial statement preparation and review, data analysis functions and administration of the physician compensation formula.
Leading and directing the staff, including the organization's administrative team in management of all the business, human resources, financial, strategic, compliance, and regulatory aspects of the practice.
Developing and managing relationships
with external partners and stakeholders; hospitals, referring practices, insurance companies, banking institutions other specialty and orthopedic groups A track record of successfully managing a large and complex health care entity is essential, as is possession of the leadership skills to guide and motivate members of the staff.
An advanced degree (MBA, MHA) or other certification (CPA, CMPE, etc.) in health care administration, business or financial operations as well as ten years of executive-level experience is required. Prior medical group practice experience and orthopedic group practice management experience would be ideal.
