This position will provide the business with the strategic leadership, transformation expertise and drive required to capitalise on market opportunities and profitably grow the business.

The new CEO who will bring the following skills, experience and characteristics to the business:

  • Review, analyse, and determine the strategic direction of the business. Provide the leadership and presence to take the business on a transformational growth agenda.
  • Ensure sound operational and commercial ownership of the business and work with and report directly to the Group board.
  • Ability to scrutinise the financial performance of the business, challenge the current fiscal thinking, interrogate the P&L and all associated margins.
  • Provide the leadership and clarity of direction needed to drive improvements in the business performance.
  • Provide the robustness of decision making, management skills and conviction to take the business into such markets.
  • Install a positive working culture of financial performance and profit growth.
  • Identify CAPEX requirements and provide clear return on investment business cases for such plans.

Experience required:

The candidate will demonstrate the qualities and experience outlined above. He/she will already be an experienced CEO or MD who is both capable and experienced to help transform the business. They will have significant financial management experience and may currently be an FD with wide ranging operational and general management responsibilities. The candidate could come from a wide variety of sectors as an injection of new ideas and ways of thinking is required within the company. They must have worked however in an entrepreneurial, financially savvy company (perhaps PE or VC funded) which can demonstrate a track record of profitable growth. Personal characteristics, communication skills, ambition and drive will be critical to ensure that the new CEO has the desire to challenge the status quo and take the business forwards.
