Group Financial Controller

Partner Financial are currently working with an international Media & Entertainment business based in West London, due to significant growth in the last 2-3 years we are helping them to identify a Group Financial Controller or Head of Finance to join the business.  The business is proud of its fun and down to earth culture and are looking for someone to join the business with a confident personality, who wants to add value across the business and can communicate confidently with finance and non-finance.

The Group Financial Controller position is a crucial role within the group and is likely to provide the long term opportunity to move into a Divisional Finance Director role due to the growth of multiple entities within the business.  The position will lead a finance team of 10, have full responsibility for all year-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and take ownership for the presentation of the group board pack.  Alongside this the role will be responsible for leading on a number of projects across the individual entities within the group covering things such as margin analysis, systems development, integration of acquisitions and other operational efficiencies.

Key responsibilities will be:

• Preparing the year end Financial Statements for the Group
• Leading the review and delivery of consolidated monthly management accounts and board report
• Preparing Group company budgets and forecasts, and consolidation of subsidiaries. Introduce flash reporting and rolling forecasts
• Taking responsibility for the accounting approach of the Group and any future acquisitions
• Project lead across the group on driving operational effiencies
• Support the CFO in key initiatives such as new systems deployment, design of new financial operation model and legal entity rationalisation
• Ability to communicate and influence senior management outside of finance

The client is looking for an ambitious individual who can build relationships outside of finance, is able to influence and ultimately step up into a Finance Director role in the future.  It is also worth noting that the client will consider a Big 4 Senior Manager for this position.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Practice trained ACA/ACCA
• Strong exposure to the Media sector
