LAWYERS NEEDED - 6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH INVESTMENT BANK - CUSTODY

We are working with a major investment bank in London who are looking for lawyers to support the custody team in relation to non-trading agreements. There are three contract vacancies and they are open to level.

This role will involve negotiating custody agreements, correspondent banking agreements, and collateral management agreements. You will be analysing regulatory requirements such as data protection, MIFID II, AIFMD and FCA rules (including CASS). There will also be documenting of custodial relationships as well as repapering of existing custodial relationships.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor of England & Wales (or equivalent) and have a broad financial services background. For junior to mid level candidates, they will consider general FS exposure (from private practice or from in-house). For more senior lawyers, the preference is for experience within regulatory (preferably with MIFID and CASS), custody, correspondent banking and collateral management. Ideally this experience will have been gained in-house within financial institutions. Knowledge of prime brokerage, prime finance, and upcoming EU regulations (e. UCITS, AIFMD, uncleared margin, GDPR etc.) would be advantageous.
