A leading fintech provider which is trusted by global financial institutions, corporate's and governments in providing secure and innovative payment solutions. This payment provider has processed over 10 billion transactions with a value of £6 trillion and is now financially backed by a global financial services institution. With major expansion plans for 2018, they now need to hire Policy & Public Affairs professional to assist with current and upcoming challenges.

The Role
You will report to The Director, Public Policy where you'll have a dual role to minimise the impact of regulation and legislation, alongside maximising the opportunities for achieving business objectives. You will support in business development, development of thought leadership, issues management, stakeholder relations and strategic planning. This role requires you to focus on day to day management and maintenance of the relationships with politicians, civil servants and other government officials (as required) and other key stakeholders at an international, UK and devolved level, supporting the requirements of the business as required and maintaining open communication channels with the holding public policy colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and approach to stakeholder management.

The Candidate
You will have significant experience gained from working in a public affairs/government relations role ideally from a consultancy/agency or in house/trade association in a related field. Candidates with knowledge and experience of working for a Government, regulatory authority UK political and legislative process would be advantageous. This role requires a candidate with strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, public speaking experience would be advantageous. For this role, candidates will need strong verbal communication and influencing skills with a natural ability to engage directly with senior internal and external stakeholders. Candidates with knowledge of and experience within the payments market, policy and regulation; and/or wider Fintech or banking sectors would be advantageous. Candidates with additional languages and experience of working in multinational and multicultural environments would be valuable experience but not essential.
