The Regional Process Owners work closely with EMEA wide leadership teams in developing and executing a regionally standardised process. The Procure to Pay (P2P) owner is accountable for optimising the end to end process across Procurement, Logistics, and Finance/Accounts Payable, driving a better level of customer and patient experience and maximising internal efficiency. As such, they need to drive the best outcomes in the most efficient manner- challenging and working with senior leadership and management across EMEA organisations, therapeutic areas and functions.
The objectives are to:
- Accountable for EMEA wide performance targets (working capital payables - €180 million). As such, the P2P process owner would be accountable for driving working capital improvements across payables (estimated by Project Hydra to be €135 million), whilst maintaining price efficiency, and good relationships with suppliers
- Accountable for the end to end P2P process and driving the systems strategy in EMEA across Procurement and Finance
- Represent EMEA on a global stage and demonstrate significant influence to ensure that future global activities deliver against EMEA's unique needs
- Take strategic view of the cross functional Regional Processes, bringing an innovative, continuous improvement viewpoint, alongside broad expertise to deliver best in class solutions
- Bring together information from Continuous improvement, Service Delivery and Finance/ Procurement/ Business Operations teams to drive insight across the span of the process area, in order to monitor the effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement of the Regional Process (including Master Data, where applicable)
- Anticipate, mitigate and resolve risks, issues and obstacles at all levels of the organisation that may impact delivery of the regional and global strategic objectives
- Ensure that process controls are well defined, understood and operated, facilitate a culture of compliance across EMEA
- Accountable for developing the strategy for the principle business process and related policies and enabling technology across EMEA, working alongside the Head of Business Services and the FLT to develop the overall Finance and Procurement Strategy
- Drive transformation and change in all parts of the Astellas value chain, within and across business functions e.g. EMEA operations, Medical, Technology Supply Chain - example activities, changing the Category management process, or improving supplier relationships
- Operate as a catalyst within the organisation, driving changes essential in achieving the Astellas strategic objectives
- Drive the development and implementation of Regional Processes, accountable for the success and effectiveness of the end to end processes across all affiliates within EMEA
- Embed Regional Processes (and appropriate Master Data Management) across EMEA Affiliates, including driving adoption and challenging process non-compliance at the most senior levels
Complete other such duties related to the P2P process as may be reasonably required by the business.
