A Global Consultancy urgently requires a Data Protection Lawyer who would be able to advise on GDPR compliance issues.
Responsibilities:
- You will provide accurate, practical advice and solutions to DP/General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance issues as well as on data sharing and monetisation;
- Value chain management: as part of a multi-disciplinary team, reviewing, documenting and revising business and operational models on international projects working alongside our tax teams;
- Advising clients on a wider range of commercial law issues: assisting national and international corporate groups and businesses in other structures (of all sizes and in all sectors);
- Working alongside our corporate lawyers on a wide range of national and international projects (M&A and group restructuring projects in particular);
- Advising clients on the creation, management, exploitation and protection of IP rights.
Experience:
You will be a commercial lawyer with significant DP, IP and IT law expertise and experience.
This position could suit a general commercial lawyer or data protection specialist coming from private practice or in-house.
You will ideally be a UK-qualified solicitor who trained at a reputable City firm (but applicants with other suitable experience may also be considered). Strong academic, technical, drafting and personal skills are essential.
