My exclusive client is a successful, high growth business, that has a turnover fast approaching £100million, and a commanding market presence (circa 10% of the UK market and expanding Internationally). With a proven and continuing buy and build strategy in place, the decision has been made to appoint a full time Finance Director from an M&A Background (Transaction Services or Corporate Finance).
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, this will be a highly visible role, that has daily exposure to the agile and entrepreneurial Group Board and Senior NED’s.
On a day to day basis you will be: -
- Targeting and evaluating relatively easily identifiable acquisition targets.
- Driving the execution and delivery of transactions, and leading the process through to completion and integration.
- Supporting the implementation of key strategic issues - generating ideas and creating frameworks; evaluating new business models.
- Quickly grasp the commercial context and assess the opportunities and challenges for future strategy and performance.
- A first-class communicator and presenter, who is comfortable liaising with board and operational management.
- Someone who can handle a range of acquisition sizes and complexity, varying from circa £5million - £50million+ in the UK & Europe.
The role would ideally suit an ambitious Director within Transaction Services or Corporate Finance, who is looking to move inhouse and progress towards a CFO role. Alternatively, someone who has moved inhouse into an internal M&A / Corporate Development role, or a Finance Director who has completed a substantial number of acquisitions in their career would all be considered.
