Parkinson Lee Executive Search, part of the Elevation recruitment group, are acting as a retained recruitment partner to an exceptionally forward thinking and commercial not for profit organisation based in West Yorkshire, in the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer. (CFO)

Reporting directly into the Chief Executive Officer, you will join the executive leadership team and provide outstanding service delivery to a number of internal and external stakeholders through the effective management of a highly skilled and capable finance team.

As CFO, key result areas will include:

* Delivering the highest levels of Financial Viability and Governance Regulatory compliance; long-term Funding Capacity, effective Treasury management and commercial returns from investments; excellent Financial and Accounting services, the evolution of the Business Strategy; and a robust and secure ICT Digital service delivery platform.

* Leadership and delivery of the annual business planning, performance management and resource allocation; Funder and Regulatory compliance; Risk Management and Internal Controls; and Internal and External Audit strategies and compliance.

Specifically, day to day you will;

Develop, implement and monitor financial and business strategies, plans and policies to achieve corporate objectives;
Work alongside the Chief Executive and the Board in managing and developing the strategic review and planning process, enabling the business to evaluate and assess priority areas for investment and profitable growth and development.
Produce and coordinate sign-off of financial strategies, policies, and budgets
Monitor the implementation of the Business plan, including regularly reporting variances and key performance indicators
Work with the Corporate Management Board to define the business strategy, and evaluate potential investments
Ensure effective procurement and purchasing procedures are in place
Provide the Board with comprehensive, regular reports on the revenues and expenditure of the organisation, business plan approval, performance management, risk management and mitigation, financial viability and regulatory compliance.
Provide strategic leadership for the evaluation, development, implementation and assessment of an innovative ICT strategy
Assess various business structures to establish the most appropriate model for the company and its trading arms
Lead and manage the company's Treasury Management function including management of negotiations and relationships with funders of the company



The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and performance driven CFO/FD with an impressive track record of achievement in a complex organisation. You will be highly ambitious and understand the challenges of delivering a business strategy and plans in an uncertain landscape.
You will have proven experience of taking organisations through large scale transformation and be effective at leading and managing change, be commercially minded with a good grasp of key financial drivers and strong contract management skills.
We are seeking a well-rounded leader who will enjoy delivering on wider corporate business objectives and priorities. You will need to have a strong work ethic, be driven to succeed and have the ability to lead, inspire and engage a large multi-disciplinary team of highly engaged people.

It is expected you will have excellent leadership skills to both manage delivery and to work with stakeholders across the business to embed new ways of delivering at pace.
