The Head of Resources reports into the General Secretary and will manage all administrative functions including finance, HR, support services, IT, regulatory reporting and property management. You will manage 7 people in total, supported directly by an Office Manager who oversees secretarial/ administrative support and HR. The role is nicely balanced - you will be a key member of the senior management team, have input to strategic issues, monitor the business plan, and provide strong financial leadership.

You will ensure the smooth running of the finance department including the production of timely management information and year end reporting. As the key point of contact for a number of external bodies such as bankers, investment managers, auditors and other service providers you will be effective in dealing with a broad range of issues. You must be committed to continual improvement and consistently review the business processes and controls to improve efficiency and to mitigate risk.

You will be a fully qualified accountant and be confident of leading finance and other support functions. The successful candidate will also be capable of providing strong guidance in relation to the financial implications of business plans and be able to highlight potential risks. You are likely to have worked in a smaller organisation and be comfortable in a role that requires agility. This is an exciting opportunity to play a big part within a forward thinking organisation. In return the organisation offers a very competitive benefits package and a positive working environment.

The salary range on offer is £58k-£70k depending on experience. FDA are open to considering candidates taking a step up as well as candidates with more experience. Benefits available include 30 days annual leave, flexible working and a 24.4% employer pension contribution
