THE ROLE:

This is an exciting role for a Procurement Solicitor to join a growing team at a highly regarded regional law firm. The procurement team at this firm are nationally recognised for the commercially sound legal advice that they provide to their clients. The team advise on state aid and competition law issues arising from a variety of project and the appointed Procurement Solicitor will assist the team in advising on large scale procurement exercise for a range of public bodies. The work included will primarily non-contentious and, as a result, some communication with the specialists working in the contentious procurement team will be required.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Procurement Solicitor will possess some solid experience of commercial, advisory and procurement law. This may have been gained as a seat during a candidate's training contract or as post qualification experience in another recognised commercial department. In addition, the Procurement Solicitor should have a good understanding of contract law and an some knowledge of competition, state, public and administrative law is also desirable, although not mandatory. Our client is seeking a Procurement Solicitor who has a real enthusiasm for procurement and is committed to developing their career within this area. Candidates should have strong commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
