Interim Financial Controller

Client

My client is a residential development business based in East Sussex. Due to restructure, they are recruiting an interim Financial Controller who will be responsible for the balance sheet, producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and providing commercial insight to management. 

This is a 3-6 month contract and would have the potential, if appropriate, to become a permanent opportunity.

Role

Supporting the Finance Director, taking a hands on approach, your duties will include:

• Responsible for the delivery of monthly management accounts for Construction and Development companies.
• Completion of month end reporting pack for Construction Board and Group Board papers with commentary 
• Month end close down procedures
• Responsible for the integrity of the balance sheet including all reconciliations for Construction and Development companies and ensure reconciliations are completed and reviewed by the Finance Director monthly
• Preparation of Year end accounts packs and tax packs for external audit and manage the audit program and deliverables efficiently for Construction and Development companies
• Liaise with external professionals and auditors to ensure the smooth delivery of accounts
• Liaise with commercial construction and development teams to ensure integrity and accuracy of transactions
• Responsible for Vat advice to the business and completion of Vat forms and returns
• Responsible for quarterly forecasts and cashflow forecasts weekly, providing clear and concise reporting with commentary

Person
You will be a fully qualified accountant with the capability of dealing with people at all levels.

Offer
£450 per day.
