Robertson Bell Finance are currently recruiting for an Interim Director of Finance and Resources for a prestigious government funded training provider based in South London. This engagement is due to last for a period of circa 3 months however there is a possibility of extension.
As the Interim Director of Finance & Resources you will be supporting the Chief Executive, this is very much a hands on role that is responsible for Finance, IT and HR. Day to day you will operate at both a strategic and detailed level, providing strong financial advice to the Chief Executive and Leadership team including; investment appraisals, making policy and process improvements and financial planning. Whilst managing a team of 4 direct reports, you will also be supporting the organisation through its 17/18 annual audit. You must be able to deal with any escalated queries that arise from within your team and undertake the relevant action to resolve the issue.
The successful candidate will be a CCAB or CIMA fully qualified accountant with a proven track record of leading small teams across Finance, HR and IT. Experience within an organisation who are funded by the government will be hugely advantageous as would individuals who have worked within education/charity/training environments. You must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels and be able to provide expert advice on all financial matters. Due to the size of the team you must be able to get stuck in and effectively hit the ground running. Please do not hesitate in applying as this role may close early!
