Hays Senior Finance are recruiting an experienced Head of Finance to add value across their high-profile finance team. As part of the Senior leadership team, this role will be concentrated within Financial Accounting business planning and improvement. The Head of Finance has overall responsibility for the management and development of the Finance Team and will support budgeting, forecasting and system improvements as they enter a new phase.

Your new role
The Head of Finance is responsible for the preparation of annual statutory accounts and reports, performance analysis and developing existing processes and procedures. You will manage the budget, maintain the ledgers as well as the payroll function and will have excellent communication skills to tell the "story behind the numbers" at a senior level. You will have significant experience around performance and risk management processes and will have proven experience of leading change and be confident with changing and developing financial systems. The Head of Finance will be responsible for Financial reporting to the Board and present to the Executive Committees around change programmes aswell as the financial performance of the function. You will be responsible for managing budget setting and monitoring including long term financial strategy forecasts and influencing key decisions across the wider business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Accountant with significant technical accounting knowledge across financial reporting functions. You will be familiar with all statutory and regulatory requirements including payroll, tax and vat arrangements in addition to possessing strong leadership experience to drive forwards change. The Head of finance will be a fully qualified accountant with experience across financial systems and improvements.
