International Finance Director

Harper May is currently working with an outstanding ecommerce organisation based in Old Street. This private equity backed company are headquartered in the US and are set for rapid growth in Europe. My client is currently seeking an International Finance Director to lead their UK and European offering. This strategic position will have full autonomy for the £90 million turnover region and will be tasked with continuing their exponential growth. The successful candidate will be fully ACA qualified with online/ecommerce experience.

Key responsibilities:

To prepare a corporate strategy and annual business plan to ensure that the company attains its international objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible
• Assist in the recruitment, management and motivation of an effective and rapidly expanding team
• Together with the CEO, oversee the majority of the group's legal matters including all corporate structures
• Participating and developing new business opportunities for the group
• Ensuring that adequate controls are installed and maintained
• Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal activities for the organisation including revenue/expense and balance sheet reports
• Oversee the financial planning and budgeting processes for international expansion
• Overseeing all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants
• Monitor banking activities of the organisation
• Oversee the production of monthly reports as well as financial statements and cash flow projections
• Review and monitoring of Group tax position, calculations and filings

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Fully qualified ACA would be advantageous
Must have prior online/ecommerce experience
• Must have extensive experience in leading and developing finance functions
• Strong technical accounting skills are highly desirable
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
