Key leadership role, integrating two divisions post-acquisition; senior leader and board member; forward thinking and progressive finance leader; focussed on driving growth and improving profitability.
The Role
Leadership of a small finance function for a Division of this FTSE group of companies who have recently made an acquisition. Reporting to an experienced CFO with a mentoring approach. Acting as a senior leader on an ambitious divisional Operating Board building a new strategy for a strong future.
*Management of a Management Accounting and Commercial Analysis function; as well as a link to group Shared Services.
*Lead key strategic projects with staff as appropriate around systems, management information, automation and process improvements.
*Key leadership role in integrating the two organisations post acquisition
oSupporting the development of a strategy for the enlarged division
oDelivering and tracking synergies and operating efficiencies
oEnsuring an appropriate controls and smooth integration
oTransitioning to a single Finance function
*Functional aspects of Finance including responsibility for Financial reporting, Accounts receivable and payable, budgeting and forecasting, strategic investment, pricing and decision support to a level appropriate for a FTSE listed organisation and leading key strategic projects on behalf of the Operating Board.
*Experience to drive growth and improvements in profitability and operating margins in a retail and distribution business transitioning from a traditional direct marketing base to a digital first environment.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate must be a qualified accountant with previous experience in senior Finance roles. Experience in data rich digital environments such as retail or similar are highly advantageous but not essential.
You will have a motivated ambitious proactive approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
By nature you will be highly analytical with a keen attention to detail.
You have exceptional stakeholder management skills; you are results focussed and build positive relationships and you will be able to demonstrate these throughout the interview process.
