Your new company
An exciting in-house opportunity with a multinational professional services firm has arisen for a qualified lawyer. This is a permanent role which can either be located in the London office, or in the Belfast office with regular travel to London.
Your new role
The role involves working with the Consulting business on complex contractual and commercial negotiations, many of which will require experience of negotiating technology contracts.
You will deliver high-quality, business-focused solutions in a challenging, dynamic and demanding marketplace, and will act as a business advisor and to partner with the business. To do this, you will be expected to assess and understand how business risks can be managed and mitigated.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review and negotiation of engagement contracts across Consulting and MSAs/framework agreements including direct discussion with clients and their legal advisors
- Review of NDAs, proposals, engagement letters, sub-contracts, teaming agreements
- Training and communications as well as supporting in the compliance programme
- Developing practical commercial solutions for business and client service teams
- Enabling them to provide excellent client service while managing risk
- Supporting the QRM team in its advice to senior management and practitioners on general legal and risk management issues, based on an understanding and appreciation of the key business risks that need to be managed
- Advising on and assisting in determining contracting and negotiating guidelines and policies
- Answering ad-hoc risk and legal queries from all business units
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified lawyer, or person with considerable experience in negotiating complex commercial contracts in an international context. In-house experience is desirable but not essential.
