THE ROLE:

A leading international TMT team who specialise in technology with a particular focus on data are keen to recruit an outstanding lawyer who comes from a Data Protection, Commercial or IT background. This position will see you being responsible for delivery of data projects for clients including advice on data and privacy matters, such as compliance programs, GDPR implementation support as well as other advisory work. You will assist with data protection in a contractual/transactional context for example cloud procurements and other similar matters. You will also assist with business development activities in order to win new clients and data work from existing clients.

THE CANDIDATE:

As a successful candidate you will have a minimum of 5+ years PQE, with previous hands on experience of advising on data protection projects, including experience of advising the GDPR on international data transfers, drafting privacy notices, negotiating and drafting data processor agreements and advising on marketing issues. You will have an awareness of and good understanding of upcoming regulatory changes in the data protection sphere. You must be commercially aware and enthusiastic about data privacy, being a self starter and keen business developer, being able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
