This innovative, leading Publishing company based in Central London are looking for a new Management Accounting Manager to lead the management accounting team, drive their growth plans forward and add value to the business.
They have hired some high calibre individuals within Finance over the last couple of years and they are now looking for an individual they can really invest in and progress throughout the organisation. This role would be perfect for someone extremely ambitious and driven who has the capability to step up and progress quickly over the next 18 months.
I have been told that within 2 years you would be in a Head of position if you have the desire to do so.
In this newly created role you would manage a team of 5 Management Accountants, and also gain exposure to the commercial finance team on a day to day basis.
You will be responsible for:
- Overlooking the preparation of month-end and yearly management accounts
- Analysing overheads to explain variances in budgets
- Producing cost centre budgets and reforecasts
- Implementing and enforcing cost control management; highlight areas for concerns
- Developing and implementing processes that will improve the workings and efficiency of the finance department
- Assisting the Head of Finance with business analysis and other ad hoc duties as required
- Growing and mentoring your team
About you:
- ACA Qualified - essential
- Management Accounting experience in Industry (1 year minimum)
- Ability to deal and communicate with non-finance professionals
- Ambitious with a desire to come in and make a difference to this organisation
- Proficient in Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables & Formulas)
