Commercial In-House Lawyer

Our client, a market-leading company is searching for a commercial solicitor to join their expanding legal team based in Northampton.

Our client is a highly successful company which works with leading businesses and brands across the UK and Ireland. A new opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer to join the team to support the business with key commercial and contractual matters.

This is a varied role that will specifically encompass the following:
* Developing relationships within the business and proactively representing the legal department in all transactions.
* Drafting and negotiating on a wide range of commercial contracts, including; outsourcing agreements, logistics agreements, IS agreements, NDA's, indemnity deeds, novation agreements, franchise agreements, supply of goods and services agreements and variation agreements.
* Providing advice on and assisting with the drafting of commercial leases
* Providing legal direction and support in a broad range of legal matters including data protection, intellectual property, and litigation issues.
* Managing all legal and regulatory risks.
* Supporting HR on employment law related matters, and attending any Employment Tribunals if required.
* Instructing and managing external counsel.

You must be able to provide commercially focussed legal advice and be comfortable making key business decisions.
