A global satellite telecoms company with subsidiaries across Europe is looking for an In House Senior Legal Counsel. You will take charge of all the legal operations across Europe. The company itself provide high tech telecommunication services to industry.

The In House Senior Legal Counsel Role

- Provide legal and contractual advice and support to the European group of companies (primarily UK, Germany and Italy);
- Draft and review commercial contracts including procurement and service contracts;
- Contribute to and review proposals and prepare quotations and bids as appropriate, and in accordance with the bid timescale;
- Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts in respect of the legal and commercial terms of pan- European networks, including managed network connectivity contracts within enterprise and governmental environments, and the associated project specific procurement, partnering, supply and distribution agreements;
- Responsibility for regulatory compliance activities across the region: including in relation to anti-corruption regulation (FCPA and UK Bribery Act) EU data protection law, and product liability legislation governance;
- Act as Export Compliance Officer for the region; ensuring compliance with local, USA, EU and UK export regulations with regards to the supply of hardware and software;
- Manage external Counsel throughout the region, as required in support of Company activities.

The Person

- Experience within the telecoms industry;
- Enough gravitas to sit alongside the MD and provide on the spot support;
- Managerial experience (1 x legal assistant dedicated solely to the position);
- Used to operating across Europe and controlling external legal spend in European regions
- Independent and autonomous mindset
