In-house Commercial Property Lawyer

A major blue chip company seeks an experienced real estate lawyer for a position within their legal team with responsibility for the legal aspects of the property function. We are keen to hear from property lawyers with at least 5 years PQE seeking a move in-house to a leading UK business.

This key role will be to work closely with the legal and property team and to directly manage the property portfolio and the legal resources with regard to all property related issues. Responsibilities will encompass managing the large property portfolio, handling all issues relating to Landlord & Tenant matters, advising on property aspects of large commercial transactions and be the first port of call for all legal issues relating to the property team. Well-developed commercial acumen is essential, as is strong interpersonal skills to work across different areas of the business.

You will probably be working in a leading national or regional law firm or working in a well respected in-house legal function. You will have technically good property experience, ideally with a L&T background, but more importantly is your pragmatic and commercial approach to decision making, and awareness of the needs and risks a business faces. You will be able to influence senior business stakeholders, have well developed commercial acumen and to be a skilled property generalist able to take pragmatic approach to whatever might cross your desk.
