Finance Director

Our client is a fast growing PE backed business and they are now looking to recruit a Finance Director to join the Board as the business embarks on the next stage of its growth. Participating as a key member of the executive management team, this role is responsible for overseeing all company financial operations.  Specifics of the role include:

· Ensure overall leadership of company accounting and financial management function underpinned by effective financial controls

· Develop KPIs that support the company's management and development

· Work with the CEO/COO to develop all management personnel in respect of their understanding of company accounting and the execution of the financial management function within their roles

· Continue to formulate financial plans in accordance with the strategy determined by the Board

· Ensure accounting policies comply with relevant accounting standards

· Oversee preparation of statutory and management accounts, including cash and performance forecasts with a 12 month rolling P&L and cash flow, including real time forecasting of individual client P&Ls

· Oversee commercial modelling of the potential productivity and utilisation uplift from creation of shared service centres

· Assist with refinancing and eventually preparing the business for exit

· Manage and develop key relationships with the company's investors and auditors

· Lead on the implementation of new financial systems

· Reviewing existing contracts (including external suppliers and their associated rebates, and property leases)

· Company secretarial duties

Importantly the successful candidate for this role will have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with a high degree of EQ.  A mobile work ethic is essential as is a willingness to travel weekly to support the HO function based in Scotland.  Exposure to a deal led environment, whether as a lead or in a support role, would be advantageous as would experience of working in an outsourcing/ shared service business.
