THE ROLE:

Our client's commercial litigation department has an exceptional reputation for the excellent technical advice they provide and commercial awareness they exhibit. Their clients comes from a range of industries and the team acts for many high net worth individuals. The appointed Commercial Litigation Solicitor will manage their own caseload independently, and will advice clients on a full plethora of commercial litigation matters. It is expected that the Solicitor will progress matters form the initial instructions through to their conclusion, whether that be by information settlement , mediation or trial. The Solicitor will be fully immersed in all steps of the litigation process including case management, evidence, disclosure and attendance at the trial itself, should this be required. In addition, the appointed Solicitor will mentor more junior members of the team and become involved in business devolvement activities.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Commercial Litigation Solicitor should have excellent academics and should have a solid amount of experience gained within a commercial litigation department at a city or leading national or regional law firm. The Solicitor should have had experience of a varied range of commercial litigation matters as it is expected the appointed Solicitor will advise on disputes arising from finance, landlord and tenant, construction and insolvency. As any successful Commercial Litigation Solicitor knows, this area of law can be stressful and, therefore, our client is looking for talented candidates who thrive under pressure and are extremely well organised.
