Restructuring Accountant

This multi-national Insurance Group is looking for interim support to join their restructuring team. This function handles all major restructuring projects for the EMEA region, as well as managing other projects aimed at improving the capital efficiency of the region.  The team is currently running various workstreams connected with the company’s Brexit strategy, and is looking for additional resource to support this activity.  The role is designed for an experienced and qualified accountant to own and lead financial responsibilities within these projects, as well as supporting non-financial aspects of the project, such as the communications workstream.

Working within this team will provide the successful candidate with a chance to work on one of  highest profile projects, and beyond Brexit, to work on other challenging transactions that will greatly enhance his/her understanding of the group and add important technical and management skills to his/her CV. 

Key skills required:

• Qualified accountant with a minimum 3 years post-qualified experience
• Strong insurance background
• Good knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines  
• Good Excel skills
• Relationship management with key stakeholders
