T2M Resourcing have been retained to recruit a Financial Controller for this marketing leading manufacturing and distribution group. This is a rare opportunity to join a business where you will gain daily exposure to the main board and have the opportunity to get involved with strategic projects in addition to your normal duties as Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and managing a group accountant your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts
  • Review and consolidation of operating division budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation and presentation of weekly performance activity reports
  • Development of group reporting formats
  • Preparation of half-year and year end annual report and results to the required PLC standards
  • Preparation of subsidiary financial statements
  • Monitoring of group cash and banking facilities to ensure that the company operates within its banking facilities
  • Multi-currency transaction management and reporting including hedging
  • Tax and statutory returns
  • Work with group and divisional functions to ensure a robust risk and compliance model is developed and adhered to
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects - this could include M&A activity

To be b successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • A Chartered Accountancy (ACA or equivalent) qualification and training from a large audit / accountancy firm where you will have gained experience of audit and financial reporting of listed companies
  • Experience of working in a group accounting function where you have produced high quality monthly financial reports and forecasts
  • Experience of statutory reporting to the latest IFRS and UK GAAP standards
  • Preparation of Tax and other regulatory returns
  •  A zest for ‘looking beyond the numbers' and use your initiative to investigate and raise awareness of opportunities and potential issues
  • A ‘can do' attitude - someone who understands what is expected of them and goes above and beyond to make the most of opportunities to make a difference
  • An ambitious and down to earth approach to career development - this role is a natural step in the direction to become a future Finance Director
