Junior Legal Counsel

A cloud based software business, which supports the hospitality industry, have entered an exciting growth phase and are looking to hire a bright, enthusiastic Junior Legal Counsel to support their forward momentum. The role is based in Central London.

You will act as the front line support on any/all legal matters that an in-house business can face. Reporting directly into the GC, together you will form a legal team of two. It will be a very responsible role and you will deal with senior stakeholders, this means you will need to be robust enough to provide a commercially acceptable level of resistance and set appropriate boundaries. That being said it is a collaborative and friendly environment and one which moves quickly.

The Junior Legal Counsel role will consist of sales contracts, supplier contracts, marketing agreements, NDAs, data protection and support to the ongoing initiatives running across the world. On the technical side the GC would rather hire for talent and upskill you in areas that you have not previously covered (software licensing, cloud software, IP, data protection etc) so the right attitude is the most important attribute and a good grounding in general commercial contracts is key.

Who you are:

- UK qualified lawyer with NQ to 2 years PQE
- Technically excellent within commercial contracts
- Ambitious, with a "can do" attitude
- Ability to build trust with key stakeholders (including senior management)
- Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic and driven to accomplish goals
- Strong organisational skills
- Willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and make it happen
