In-House Solicitor, Glasgow

Excellent new opportunity for a junior banking or financial services lawyer to make the move in-house to a leading financial services organisation based in their offices in Glasgow.

This is a first class opportunity to join the highly regarded Products team and presents the chance to develop your career as a specialist in Financial Products.

You will join a skilled and dynamic team providing expert legal advice in relation to a broad range of retail and business banking products, as well as supporting other strategic projects.  Additionally, you will participate in the work of the legal team to deliver strategic objectives.

Role Profile:

• Facilitating strategic initiatives in the product area (including in terms of digital growth) and to manage legal risk across the product portfolio;

• Managing external panel firms acting for the Bank including the associated costs;

• Understanding the business and providing bespoke training on legal matters as required and being an engaged and proactive member of the legal team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with circa 2-5 years PQE and experience in banking or financial services law;

• Candidates from in-house or from private practice looking to move in-house are invited to apply;

• Ability to build relationships;

• Good analytical and decision-making skills together with an ability to communicate in a commercial and non-technical manner.

• Previous experience working with a bank of FS organisation and understanding financial services regulation would be beneficial but not essential.
