My client is a Tier 1 Investment Bank looking to hire a Regulatory lawyer on a Contract basis within their Legal and Compliance Division.
The role is to assist the Business with the implementation of Brexit-related initiatives, with a particular focus on Exchange and CCP connectivity matters.The coverage role will provide the candidate with a broad range of exposure across the bank with the opportunity to pick up regulatory, policy and other projects
Main responsibilities include -
- Assist with the review of exchange and clearing membership agreements, rulebooks and ancillary documentation to be entered into by the Bank
- Identify and escalate key risks to the Business and Risk departments
- Advise on the impact of applicable regulation (e.g. MiFID II, EMIR, CRR, domestic legislation)
- Conduct review of netting opinions and other legal opinions relevant in the clearing space
- Liaise with outside counsel as necessary
An ideal candidate will have the relevant regulatory and derivatives experience from a top city law firm or financial institution.
