In House - Commercial Shipping Legal Counsel - Houston, Texas

Our client is a global ship owner-operator and leader in petroleum logistics solutions. Headquartered in Singapore they operate regional offices in Houston, Kuala Lumpur and London.

The Houston office is expanding its legal function and seeks a US qualified senior commercial shipping legal Counsel with at least 7 years post qualification experience to join their transactional and advisory legal team. Candidates with significant exposure to the shipping or oil industries from private practice, in-house, or with a P&I club are welcome to apply.

The role is broad based and will include advising on corporate commercial shipping matters, procurement, compliance, insurance and finance. You will have sound knowledge of international transactional and project work and particular experience in shipping finance and/or shipping litigation (dry and/or wet). Latin American experience and language skills will be advantageous but not essential.
