Group Contracts Manager / Legal Counsel, East Midlands, International Business, Excellent Career Opportunity

This is a varied role for an accomplished Contracts Manager / Legal Counsel to join a highly regarded listed company in the West Midlands. You will work alongside a team of collaborative senior stakeholders and act as the last line of defence in contractual matters across the group.

In this Contracts Manager role your range of responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing all major contracts across the group including contracts for the supply of products & services, NDA's, Agency Agreements, Distribution Agreements, IT Contracts, infrastructure/construction contracts and Collateral Warranties.
  • Developing and revising policies and procedures relating to the organisation's trading activities and ensuring procurement terms and conditions are fit for purpose.
  • Working with senior stakeholders to develop the existing Export Controls and Sanctions Compliance Programme.
  • Drafting contracts and agreements undertaking complex negotiations both remotely and in person.
  • Organising local legal reviews by external counsel in non-UK jurisdictions.
  • Providing ongoing training to subsidiary businesses in multiple jurisdictions in respect of compliance and contracts matters including online, in-person and via WebEx.

This fast paced role will suit an experienced lawyer who enjoys senior stakeholder interaction. Please note the client is ideally seeking an individual has had some exposure to construction contract matters.
