We have a fantastic opportunity working for one of the top employers globally, within their Global Manufacturing Organisation.

Job Responsibilities

As Engineering Manager you will be responsible for process and facility capital project execution supporting your assigned manufacturing sites in the UK&I.
Safe and compliant execution of all project activities
Management of Engineering resources to deliver the capital plan (original budget allocation)
Prepare capital plans for future years in line with UK&I business requirements
Work closely with the UK&I Supply Chain Operations Management team to support implementation operating plans and strategies
Support the implementation of the EMEA Engineering Strategies (EMEA Regional Self Sufficiency)
Core team training completed on time (safety/compliance etc.)
Supporting capital 'authorisation for expenditure' (AFE) proposals at UK, EMEA and US level, dependent on value
Management of group net engineering expense costs (P&L) costs within budget.
Delivering projects within budget and on time against AFE commitments
Close collaboration with sourcing to deliver cost reduction/cost avoidance targets
Recruitment of resource staff and contractors as appropriate to meet the capital plan.
Develop expert use of the Global Engineering and business tools (eg GCF&S/SAP)
Project/portfolio reporting and communication at Senior levels, including senior stakeholder management
Leading and Supervising the PSD/staff and contract teams (goal setting, performance management etc.)
Act as a champion for the Project Engineering Quality System

Knowledge & Skills

A degree in an Engineering Discipline

Significant experience in a Senior Engineering manufacturing leadership position, the scope of which must include:

Staff management/responsibility
CAPEX Project Execution
Expert/master knowledge and experience in capital project execution/project management
Demonstrated Leadership and Supervisory skills necessary for managing people (eg knowledge of employment law, performance appraisals, performance management, goal setting etc.)

Chartered Engineer
Formal Project Management Qualification
Lean/Six Sigma belt
