Financial Controller

Our client is a high growth PE backed SaaS business; they are a leading provider of next generation technology working with the global media giants.

With year on year growth at 20%, they have achieved phenomenal revenue numbers over the last three years earning a place in The Sunday Times 2016 list as one of the fastest growing tech companies. This rapid market success has led to private equity investment to support the planned business growth. This includes the recruitment of a Financial Controller to report to the CFO and Board of Directors.

On this position, you will be the natural successor to the CFO over a planned two year period.

The role:

Managing a team of four in the UK and internationally you will be responsible for:

• Ownership of the accounting processes and financial controls for revenue and costs
• Preparation of Monthly management accounts pack & commentaries
• Support the CFO in the preparation of Board reports
• Preparation of KPI reports and customer profitability reports
• Liaise regularly with Project Managers on project performance, days to complete and revenue recognition
• Management of the revenue recognition process and reported revenue
• Support the CFO in responding to requests for ad hoc analyses from key customers (CEO, COO, Business heads) and deliver accurate and timely information to these parties
• Prepare the annual statutory accounts for the Group in accordance with IFRS and UK legal requirements
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process with the CFO

The candidate:

You are a qualified accountant and aspire to be the CFO. Also, you have:

• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Good knowledge of project accounting and revenue recognition policies
• High technical standards
• Expert-level in Excel
• Financial systems knowledge
• Staff management experience
