Financial Controller

A leading retail company has an opening for a Operations Financial Controller to work in partnership with senior Retail Operations Managers to drive strategy through the financial governance of all operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct line management of two Operations Finance Managers and one Service Charge Analyst.
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly reforecasts, annual budgets and six monthly long term forecasts for operational centre service charge, CAPEX, and relevant management income.
• Oversee the month end cycle and enhance the quality and efficiency of all core deliverables.
• Improve and develop existing reporting and financial controls, with particular focus on centre operational performance.
• Implementation of a financial and accounting control environment for an upcoming expansion.
• Delivery of annual operating centre Business Plans and implementation of improvements in the quality, timing and efficiency of preparation.
• Provide financial analysis and support on development projects to key operational stakeholders.


Your background:

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with significant PQE experience
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop Finance teams
• Significant experience of business partnering within an operational / commercial environment
• Demonstrable record of improving processes, procedures and existing operational systems
• Proven track record of providing impetus and direction to financial reporting and analysis
• Good technical and systems skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
