Finance Business Partner

The Consultancy Group are currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner role for an Entertainment and Media group based in Central London. Reporting into the Head of FP&A this newly created role will be responsible for providing financial planning and commercial analytical support and as such is very forward looking with minimal reporting.

As Finance Business partner the role will support the Head of FP&A in all commercial and financial planning processes and the delivery of accurate and timely updates on financial performance to the business.

The Finance Business Partner will be a member of the Financial Planning and Business Support team and will work closely with the business to give clarity to the business areas' financial performance. The Finance Business Partner will challenge the business's consideration of performance to focus on forward-looking positons and the impact for the full year and beyond of current decisions.

As the key contact between the business and the finance team the Finance Business Partner will spend significant time with department heads, identifying new ways to communicate performance and provide commercial support. They will constantly challenge how things are done and look for new ways to support the business to achieve excellence in its financial performance.

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA or CIMA) with 2-5 years post-qualification experience. They will have a proven ability to work as a business partner with senior management and quickly build effective relationships. They will have strong analytical skills, including the ability quickly to grasp the "big picture" and exhibit judgment in drawing conclusions.
