This rapidly expanding, owner-managed business services group (EBITDA c£5m) have enjoyed substantial growth in recent years. As a consequence the shareholders are looking to complete a partial exit through attracting Private Equity investment in 2020.

They would like to appoint a CFO, to the main board, and who will manage the growth issues and eventually lead the exit process.

To be suitable for the role you will need to possess the following background and attributes:

To be suitable for the role the key requirements are as follows:

  • Main board experience within an owner-managed or PE backed concern or experience within the outsourcing, training or recruitment sectors.
  • Experience of managing a finance process with high levels of transactions.
  • Experience of overseeing finance functions with an emphasis on payroll and credit control challenges.
  • Some M&A and integration experience.
  • Stakeholder management, especially with regard to banking relationships and the understanding of the needs of entrepreneurs.
  • Contract evaluation and review.
  • Ideally, experience of having exited a business.
  • Detail orientated - absolutely key so if you are a ‘hands-off' director you will not find this role suitable.
  • Be confident in a pressurised environment with some challenging ‘pinch-points' in the annual cycle.

The package will designed to incentivise the finance executive to achieve the strategic and financial objectives of the business and shareholders.
