Legal Counsel (LNG)

The job holder will provide support to the LNG are of this Client's business by negotiating / compiling an extensive selection of LNG documentation, including LNG MSPAs / SPAs as well as providing legal advice on disputes affecting the Client's LNG business.

Description

Responsibilities with this role include the provision of legal support to the LNG trading and origination teams with the wider business. Drafting and negotiation of LNG documentation such as:

• Long-Term SPAs;
• Master Agreements; and
• Confirmation Notices.

You will also provide advice on disputes related to the LNG business as well as deal with finance and credit support matters associated with the LNG business

Profile

The successful candidate will be likely to be a UK Qualified solicitor with four years of post qualification experience, working on LNG related matters at either a top ranked law firm or within a respected in house legal team working in the LNG space.

They will have an excellent understanding of law and regulation affecting LNG transactions and strong understanding of legal issues arising under LNG SPAs and MSPAs.

This is a predominately non-contentious position, however, some disputes experience would be a distinct advantage, particularly arbitration.

Job Offer

Excellent salary, beyond the market norm. Uncapped bonus structure (averaging around 25%).
