Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company based in Berkshire is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their legal department on a permanent, part time basis working 2 ½ days per week.
As a fully integrated member of the business you will work in strategic partnership with a range of senior leaders. This unique opportunity covers both legal and compliance matters for this exciting and well-established business.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Providing support to the legal team and wider business areas on a range of general legal, insurance and compliance related matters.
* Preparing, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and completing legal documents with support/supervision as required, including bespoke commercial contracts, contract templates and standard operating procedures.
* Supporting the Compliance & Ethics programme and the Compliance Officer in mitigating risk associated with non-compliance.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor or barrister, holding a minimum of 2 years PQE*, having worked with a range of commercial contracts previously. Experience within the Life Sciences remit whilst not essential would be advantageous. You will be a proactive and pragmatic individual who is able to work seamlessly with others and provide support where necessary.
