Management Accountant

Based in Hertfordshire our client is an international market leader within the building and construction industry looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on an interim basis.

This job would suit an ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified or Part Accountant with previous experience in management accounting. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager within a growing team, the role will deliver financial management reporting and be seen as a business partner by all stakeholders from a financial and commercial perspective.

This company is an industry leading business with exciting new offices. The successful individual will be an experienced Management Accountant with a good eye for detail and demonstrable commercial awareness. Strong IT skills with developed Excel knowledge and exposure to a leading ERP system are essential. Strong communication skills and experience within the construction industry would be desirable.

• Preparation of journal entries and completion of month end for various products for revenue and cost of revenue
• Preparation and full understanding of balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting the Senior finance manager and the FD with forecasting/budgeting and with preparation of month end packs and reporting
• Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, analysis and reconciliation of relevant clients/projects
• Ad hoc reporting
• Pro-actively supporting UK divisions and colleagues with finance issues, budgets and reporting to identify opportunities to improve profitability
• Variance analysis
• Working with other teams to develop routines/process improvements which speed up month end and reporting
