Your new organisation
Our defence client has just embarked on a major 3-year programme to rationalise the size of the MOD estate. This will involve the creation of an appropriately sized and located estate, which will be better utilised, more efficient and more affordable. In an environment with notoriously complex processes, varying situations and sensitive information, the organisation requires a Senior Programme Director to define and scope this critical campaign.

Your new position
Reporting directly to the Head of PMO, you will lead and shape the delivery of their Infrastructure requirement, defining tangible and measurable outcomes required by the organisation to realise its Estate Optimisation Portfolio. You will agree priorities and define appropriate budgets and milestones, ensuring that corresponding documentation and a high-standard of governance is in place. Your role will be responsible for providing this documentation to Senior Management and their suppliers; covering regular financial reviews and setting clear accountability and responsibility for delivery management of all aspects of the portfolio and Estate programmes.

What you'll need to succeed
Your success will be driven by your proven track record in leading large transformational change projects in an Infrastructure or Estates capacity. You will have a deep understanding of Military or Defence policies and its environment, as well as regulatory standards underpinning transformation agenda. You will have demonstrable experience line managing large cross-functional teams and be highly distinguished in your communication, possessing the ability to present and articulate ideas clearly and concisely at board level.
