The Role

As a PBS Record to Report Lead you have the opportunity to shape the customer service, quality and performance culture of the PBS finance team. Working alongside regional and functional stakeholders in the business you will be the expert in all things accounts payable, credit control and reporting. You will be a key figure in coaching your team to work with excellent attention to detail to SLA's in a cost effective manner.

The key fundamentals below need to be fully understood and applied;

  • Manage accounts and report back to Head of PBS
  • Be a point of contact for finance and respond to queries in a timely and efficient manner to all parts of ABS
  • Ensure the consistent adherence to guidelines and internal controls
  • Ensure SLA's are achieved
  • Proactively seek opportunities for improvement

Accountabilities:

  • Work with the PBS leadership team to deliver an operational culture with a strong and best in class customer service mind-set in line with ABP vision and values
  • Manage the billing and collections process and enforce the company's credit, bad debt policies and DSO reporting
  • Analyse the performance of working capital and cash flow and work with the Treasury Centre of Excellence (CoE) to make improvements.
  • Ensure the monitoring and reviewing of accruals, reserves and balance sheet reconciliations  
  • Ensure all master data input is in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all audit deliverables are met
  • Manage the production of the half year and full year statutory reporting information that will be used by the Financial Reporting team at Head Office
  • Development and analysis of Service Level Agreements and other performance to assess the performance of Finance in line with stakeholder requirements
  • Working with IT and in line with other PBS requirements, establish a long-range technology plan for finance which improves efficiency, cost-effectiveness, customer service and the quality of the work environment
  • Actively promote the concept of shared services within the regions and the benefits it will bring
  • Proactively input into working party sessions, status reports, highlight risks, suggest solutions where appropriate with an aim to consistently drive improvements within the PBS team

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • A degree level qualification in Business Management or Accounting
  • Professional accountant qualification
  • 7+ years experience in operational finance/shared services
  • Experience in a management role, driving a continuous improvement culture
