The Role

New challenges, looking for a taste in industry and the role as it stands now will be different in 12 months, you have the opportunity to shape your role. You need to be a technical accountant to be successful in this role. A new company CCEP, coming out of a recent merger with 3 different companies Join a dynamic team. Be the accounting go to person for the finance accounting department across CCEP for accounting memos and communications up to senior leadership. 

This role is responsible for various aspects of the Company's external financial reporting and technical accounting function.

Accountabilities

  • Assist with the preparation and review of the Company's financial statements, footnotes, and management report for the year-end and interim reporting process (e.g. UKLA Interim Financial Report and Annual Report; SEC 20-F filing)
  • Serve as a technical resource and accounting lead for areas such as restructuring accounting, related party transactions, derivatives, and intercompany dividends and loans
  • Serve as a resource to business units and corporate departments for technical accounting research, including conclusion documentation and/or management presentation
  • Respond to SAP research and report preparation requests submitted by business partners
  • Assist in the accounting and reporting for acquisitions and divestitures
  • Keep abreast of changes to IFRS, UKLA requirements, and U.S. SEC regulations, in order to provide accounting advice to business units and communicate any changes in accounting policies
  • Lead and manage special projects and technical accounting reviews
  • Develop and implement accounting policies for the Company's global accounting policy manual


Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 year post qualified experience in accounting or finance required, ideally in a Big 4 firm
  • You need a strong technical accounting knowledge including experience researching and applying IFRS, and fulfilling the regulatory reported requirements of a listed company.
  • Analyze and synthesize large amounts of information, including complex issues, into communications suitable for a specific audience 
  • Ability to effectively navigate the challenges specific to a multi-national company, specifically regarding communication and the impact of currency on financial results.
  • Ability to liaise with key internal Corporate stakeholders, including the leadership of the Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Procurement and Legal Departments, and communicate the needs of the Controller's Group
  • Strong ability to analyse and evaluate accounting and reporting alternatives and to lead projects and initiatives with limited direct oversight and supervision while providing strategic insight
  • In depth and current knowledge of UKLA and SEC rules and regulations for foreign private issuers (FPIs) and a thorough understanding of IFRS and their application.
